my husband makes coffee with it occasionally. I'll toss it into hot chocolate for a kick, and certainly for baking

do you ever double the recipe, or do you just make it multiple times if making it for gifts?

I had a beautiful vintage glass salt cellar, and it broke. I was and still am sad about it. now I just use a mason jar. it gets the job done, but it doesn't look as beautiful on the countertop.

I'm totally trying this...but I'll add sugar to balance the fish sauce's overwhelming salty-ness.

I buy from the only kosher butcher on the west coast of florida...I'm lucky to live in his town. it doesn't save me money--kosher meat is very expensive, especially when there's no competition. but I do value my relationship with him!

what about going with a larger cooktop, so you 'd still have cabinets underneath and a full size wall oven someplace else. I've even seen wall ovens placed under the counter, which I always thought was cool, especially if you don't have the wall space for it.
I'd be concerned about fitting things into the oven and space on the cooktop...24 inches is really small, especially if you use large pots

I use the recipe for lasagne printed on the back of the barilla no-boil lasagne sheets. we don't mix milk and meat, so I use smart ground instead of the cooked sausage called for in the recipe. it works perfectly, and it 'feels' like a meat lasagne, but it isnt!
