A few years ago, I was at the bar in a restaurant waiting to be seated. I was standing behind a couple who were seated at the bar. They both had their phones in hand. The woman received a text and turned slightly away from her boyfriend to read it. I was bored/curious and read it over her shoulder. (I figure if you're gonna text in public, fair game!) It was sexual. She responded, in kind, still tilting the phone away from her boyfriend, who was now watching a game on the bar television. Scandal! I was about to furiously whisper in my husband's ear what was happening when the boyfriend received a text of his own, read it, looked over at his girlfriend and indicated that he had just received her filthy text. Ha! I've never looked at public cell phone use quite the same since then.

Anyone know where I can get a round longue like the one on the right of the picture??

We have the same chairs as the ones at your dining table. I love them for their style, stackability and durability, but their comfort is lacking. First time I've seen them on this site, though. Bravo for sharing your home!

Lol. With her gym teacher? Is your wife in high school?

I found the premise of this movie fascinating. As a psychologist, I had to agree to suspend my disbelief in order to fully embrace the ride it took me on as a viewer. It seems that maybe some designy types weren't willing to do that and it negatively affected their viewing experience.

I admit to being easily swayed by the physical appearance of the actors, though. Hotness in expensive, well tailored clothing? Call me satisfied!

I'm going to buy this after reading your review. We've been looking for something like this for a long time. I don't see why the black anti-slip feet couldn't be adhered to the top of the lap desk for any laptop to rest atop of instead of stuck directly onto a laptop.

I think I'll try this with a small modification. I'd like to add a layer of felt to the inside so that my laptop slides easily in and out of the case and to keep foreign objects from passing through the holes of the liner.

One thing I've come to love about LA is how "the industry" (entertainment and the tourism that comes along with it) keeps all of the best spots out of the public eye through focus on such a small portion of what LA really consists of.

Two of my favorite spots to take visiting family and friends are the Gamble house in Pasadena (www.gamblehouse.org) and the Museum of Jurassic Technology in Culver City (www.mjt.org).

PS I realize that neither Pasadena nor Culver City are technically "LA" and I don't care. It would be a shame to visit LA and never venture beyond the proper Los Angeles City borders.

I wish I owned a geodesic dome house!
If I did I would paint all the walls a nice white, update the lighting with a minimalist feel and install cork flooring with a pattern that accentuates the dome's architecture.

Please, please send in pictures once you have settled in.
