I just bought these before a trip we took and added the bag to some homemade trail mix. It was awesome!

I love rutabagas! Turnips....not so much. My favorite way is to cube it fry it in a pan with tallow or lard, add some sort of green like chard or kale, top with egg (keep it runny).

Our town has something called Santa's village. It's free and there are many houses and things for the kids to do while my husband waits in line for Santa. I get a text from him when he's about five minutes from the door to Santa's house. The picture is a digital image they send you and is free. It's totally been worth it to have a picture of them with Santa (same guy for the last 6 years) but I am looking forward to the day we don't have to go through this ritual.

I use lightly salted because it's the only kind the farm I go to for dairy products sells.

Haven't shopped at Walmart in years and still won't even if they carry local produce. Why not just go direct to local farmers. Co-op style is the way to go in my opinion.

I bake gluten free and use sorghum all the time. I would just use it as you would regular flour substitute a 1/4 or 1/2 cup for regular flour. Also check Indian recipes such as sorghum roti. Mmm..yum.

Been doing this for my sons lunch for 2 years now. It's easier for kids to eat cut up apples, especially when they have loose teeth. Save your rubber bands from broccoli and other greens. You know the thick smallish ones.

I try try try to clean as I go and most of the time I get it done. Even if I can't clean everything I do rinse before putting in the sink and I have a lovely husband who will finish the cleaning after dinner.
