My trick to make them better at lunch time is layer the peanut butter in a thin layer on both slices of bread... then put the jelly in the middle. The jelly can't get to the bread, so the bread doesn't get soggy. Ruth Reichl's Secret to a Sexy PB&J Gilt Taste |

My PBJ sandwich fix is that I use my normal amount of peanut butter, but split it between both sides of the sandwich to seal the bread from the jelly. Even hours later my sandwich is still delicious and unsoggy. Say Goodbye To Soggy Sandwiches: Perfect Sandwich Container |
