I love my Croseley 5-in-1. The problem is finding the right stand with record storage. The one shown here is cool. I hoped this post would have listed more options.

In the comments section of the SF Gate article link, the designer said "We found them locally in a resale furniture store."

Pretty much agree with fellow Turk, Ayse, but I suspect for that price and size, it wasn't made in Turkey. Most rugs in the GB aren't made in Turkey anymore.

The bargaining process should be part of the charm. Although they do have foreigners at an advantage. If you want to buy a rug in TR, try somewhere other than the GB - even outside Istanbul, if possible. In any case, enjoy!

As a Turk, I buy these in Turkey as gifts for friends and have several myself. They're great for kids, too. In larger cities here, you might also find them available at outdoor markets.

I bought the CB2 slat rack (http://www.cb2.com/slat-rack/f5501?fromLocation=search) and have been very happy with it. Holds many scarves and becomes a colorful display piece too.

DC and Baltimore are definitely Eastern. Southern doesn't start until Richmond. The bigger issue is that these new groupings are terrible. City-by-city is the right way to go.

I've lived in this area for over 15 years. If you don't have to live in the city, I suggest Arlington. Not the north part along the orange line. That's pricey. Try South Arlington. Metro & buses. Affordable apartments in great neighborhoods. Fantastic location - 5 to 15 mins to just about everything in DC. And you don't have to deal with DC government, a pain for every resident.

Thanks for visiting and enjoying my country! I think you saw parts of Turkey I haven't even seen yet.

That isn't an AR record. I once saw an episode where a rare Roman piece of antiquity (I think it was a helmet) was presented. The value? "Priceless"

If it's an area where visitors wait, then it looks like you have room for a sectional sofa with the wall on the right. I'm thinking something transitional (neither modern nor old-fashioned). For some reason, I see it with a well-worn metal coffee table.

If you can only do that wall, then I suggest a book case; either a built in or something that takes up the whole width. Old books (from residents?) belo and fresh flowers and a few knick-knacks on top.
