Thanks again everyone! We've actually only been in our place since April, so that was a little difference in the article, but regardless just LOVE our space! Yes, we did get the "you are my sunshine" print from YeeHaw letterpress. They had a booth at Bust craft fair in NYC a few years back. We got our rug from pakobelrugs on ebay. We got it for $75 and just love it! @bitknee, we did a bunch of research online for live/work art spaces before we moved out west and this one just worked out perfectly for us. I promise you won't know what to do with yourself with all the sq ft in portland... we are still pinching ourselves! best of luck on your move!

Also @gingergrapefruit, yes those are just regular pants hangers holding the prints.

Thanks so much everyone for the nice comments! We are just loving the loft. Also @ginac, the rug was actually found on ebay and I think we ended up getting it for only $70. I found it by doing just a really basic search for Kilim... I don't recall the dealers name, but if I come across it, i'll be sure to send your way. It isn't backed, so we did have to get a no slip pad to put underneath.

The rug is a Kilim rug. I believe it's either Turkish or Persian. We got it on ebay for around $70 and just love it. It does need a carpet pad underneath because it's pretty thin. It would also make a great wall hanging.

The (large and ugly) heating and air conditioning unit is directly in front of the couch under the window. We are saving up for a storage unit that will be able to mask it better, as it's a bit of an eyesore right now. We have the TV angled for now so we can see it from the kitchen too.. The couch is actually a standard size sofa sleeper/futon from Ikea, so it easily fits 2 comfortably. A new couch and a bed frame are our next projects... only been here 2 weeks, so we're taking one project at a time, as the budget allows =)

Thanks so much! I am a nester... Plus at this point we feel like professional movers. We moved 7 times in 5 years in NYC... always trying to find a bigger or better space for less money. We've gotten really efficient. The TV is angled so if we are sitting at the kitchen bar, we can still watch movies.
