Wow, people with children are not allowed to talk about them unless it is on a mommy blog? Can we have a little more tolerance for other people, with children or without?

Thanks! I would love to see Apartment Therapy expand its gardening section. Particularly how that I am a new homeowner and need ideas for garden design. Got any garden design blogs that you recommend?

For those willing to venture further off of 95, may I recommend Poplar Forest, which was Thomas Jefferson's country home. Its in Forest, VA. The house is partially open to the public, but being renovated; the grounds are lovely.

I agree with commenters who point out that it has to do with the baby's preferences and the families' space. Unfortunately you don't know what your baby will like until s/he tries it! Better to try friends' stuff first and find out what your baby likes.

I could have lived without the wrap I was given (my daughter hated being in it). We never used the bassinet-- we ended up co-sleeping because the baby wouldn't tolerate being even that far away from us at first. Then when she got old enough, we just switched her to the crib. Total waste of money.

Has anyone tried these? I'd like to hear some feedback on them. Thanks!
