just recently an old friend of mine stayed at my apartment for a couple of days, he congratulated me for how the place looked (I had been staying up late at night just to clean before his arrival). The same day he arrived, he began questioning me why I put a lamp on the floor, why I didn´t pair some coconut trees I had in the living room and why I didn´t have more things in my bedroom. Wasn´t really excited about his comments, but overall, it was good having company and keeping the place in such a good condition.

@Dulcibella - I agree with what you comment on the disconnect between the furniture, and the overall room decoration. Maybe it was more of an excess in decoration at times, as opposed to howwe tend to balance things now. For example, we might want to put some of these bulky, shiny, irregular shaped items with a white/neutral toned background, instead of adding and adding textures and colors. Vice versa, heavy visual carpets, tapestries, and wallpapers would provide the perfect ambience for sleek and simple-lined furniture.

What would the main difference be between 60´s and 70´s era decoration?

I just did a few improvised coasters for a 25th bday party, where we cut out paper circles in black and white, ones with a hand holding up 2 fingers, and the other half of the coasters with all five fingers. It looked pretty neat and everybody liked them. Inexpensive and personalized. Best of all, served their purpose!

Nice work! would place smaller mats under the posts and somehow manage to lay your pillows over your bed that way your new headboard would be more visible. congratulations!
