We're also thinking of changing our door to include a frosted glass window.

I agree with merlin513... I wish there were a greyhound (and other larger dogs) on the list.

Love 'em all though!

I wish I could say. Ours was just "built" last summer, although it saw lots of use! It has survived one Canadian winter just fine. We figure it would be easy to pull it out, power wash it and spray it again with Rustoleum high-heat paint.

My thought it that it stands up about as well as any other fire pit.

Thanks kaseylulu!

I think this is such an easy idea for an outdoor fire pit!

I'd also be curious to see pictures of the one with the old tv dish. :)

Love it! And this is TOTALLY a thing! It's a great spring project. We made ours without the legs and surrounded it with stones: http://www.freshcoatofpaint.ca/2013/08/our-goblet-of-fire.html

How to Increase Curb Appeal to Attract Future Renters? Good Questions
11/15/13 05:10 PM

As a real estate agent, I caution clients against planting anything too close to their house that may grow large. You wouldn't believe how quickly roots can grow into a basement wall!

I think it's a sweet house. If you're not painting the siding, I agree with the idea of a good cleaning!

I also think you could use some contrast. I would paint the door and shutters a dark blue-grey! They always say that in-between colours can lend a sophisticated vibe!

To make things easier, I may nix the garden and just have pretty planters on either side of the stairs... which should be painted or stained dark.

Good luck!
