Beef stew, with home made cheddar biscuits. Not sure what I will be making on Sunday, with no Walking Dead, might just have to go out.

I want this, my kitchen faucet is leaking, so you have to push it to one side to keep it from leaking...This would be a huge upgrade.

I am not normally not a fan of the yellow/gold colors but your house could make me change my mind. So gorgeous. What a lovely home for fall or all year round for that matter.

I have to try the bread it looks so good. I also bookmarked the no bake peanut butter marshmallow squares, gotta try these with the holidays coming up in a few short weeks. Both look good enough to eat. Never ever read the kitchen when you're hungry.

I just fixed a big enchilada casserole for dinner with re-fried beans and lime rice. Hopefully we have left overs for Saturday. Haven't planned for Sunday yet guess whatever is fresh at the farmers market.

Today I am making slow cooker beef stew. I think I will make corn bread in my iron skillet to go with the stew and brownies for desert.

Sunday will be a big pot of baked beans. I love fall and all the wonderful smells coming from the kitchen all day long.

Sorry you all but I love Paula Deen, would I eat her cooking everyday no but that doesn't mean she is the reason for making America fat. America is fat because we eat to much period.

When I listen to Paula its like my grandmother talk, I could listen to her all day.

All you need to do is have the fire over the top of the pan. What I do is put the pan into the fire pit, or fireplace and then build the fire on top of it. Just let it stay in until the fire is out completely. The next day after things have cooled off I take it out and then season it.

In fact if my cast iron usually gets this treatment every couple of years to get off any gunk that has built up on the back of the pans. It works just as well for the rust.

I have bought many nasty cast iron with rust or burned on food. The easiest way I have found to clean them is in a fire. I use my wood stove or a camp fire. Just toss the pan into the fire and it will burn off everything, you will have a completely brand new looking piece of cast iron.

Then you can use Crisco shortening and coat the pan..put it into the oven on a low temp for a couple hours and it will be good as new.
