A year ago I was 32 and pregnant. I found myself in a crazy nesting mode. Although we still lived in a one-bedroom rental I felt that parenthood forced me to make more grown-up purchases. I bought a gray sectional very similar to the one featured in this post and a Room and Board dresser on Craigslist. It was certainly cheaper than the retail price but still expensive enough to pay rent for a month. I was sweating and my heart was racing. So very happy I did it though. Both peaces are good quality and will last for a while.

Oh how I wish I had a dishwasher! I just can't stand dirty dishes in the sink, so I wash them as soon as they appear. How do I train my husband to do the same?

I'm pregnant with my first baby girl. I had a baby shower recently. I registered on myregistry.com which allows you to add any website. My friends were super sweet to get me bigger items from my registry like high chair, set of Dr. Brown bottles, Babyfood mixer. Some of them added something extra like a pair of cute socks, pacifier, etc. However, they all acknowledged my registry which lessened the load on me.

I have a peekaboo coffee table from CB2 http://www.cb2.com/family.aspx?c=114&f=699 which I scored from Craigslist. I love it. We have big pieces of furniture in a moderately small room, so visually it saves space. Plus between two cats, a baby on the way, and a husband who resents coasters it gives me all in one perfect solution. There are no sharp angles, it does scratch but you could barely see the marks, no need to stress over spills, spots, cold/hot cups.
