i think this product's existence is based on wanting equal-sized slices, otherwise you'd use a traditional cake server or knife.

Saveur is by far my favorite of the bunch, I feel it's for people who truly love everything about food, rather than those who like to cook & eat. Their feature stories and photography are beautiful and their recipes have soul.

Accodring to magazine trade pubs, Saveur is the only one in the category whose ad pages are growing. Its pages spiked 11% in March compared with a year earlier. In contrast, Gourmet’s pages plunged 48%, Bon App’s fell 29% and F&W’s dropped 22%.

Interestingly enough, Saveur is not allowing the recession to influence its approach to food. “You don’t see ‘budget’ anything in my book,” Publisher Merri Lee Kingsly says.

Perhaps she'll eat her words as the year wear on...

i'm shocked so many people make their bed! i love the feeling of rumpled covers and having the comforter and pillows all scrunched up when i climb in.

their new Beanswax line of soy candles has a scent named Cran Slam that is awesome. it'll clear cooking smells out of your kitchen without being to sweet or "fake" smelling. also, leaving the jar uncapped in a small bathroom works like an air freshener.

a small bathroom is a great place to play with super bright colors that might otherwise be overwheliming in, say, your living room. something rich like magenta or a royal purple could compliment your less-than white tiles and bold new sink.

i thought Nikki for sure and was having flashbacks to the block party episode: bad mac & cheese and now bad sausage peppers & onions. She prob didn't even CONSIDER making her own sausage.
