it's so hard to judge if you even need a crib, IMO. My son hated his (thank god it was borrowed) and ended up co-sleeping. We got a cheap toddler bed from IKEA in the hopes that we could transition him to that, and I now totally wish that we had just bought a regular twin bed or maybe even a full instead. One of us almost always ends up lying down in there with him and that dinky hard toddler mattress leaves much to be desired!

they sell stuff like this in the bargain aisle at Joann's, too. Might be seasonal though.

they're not hard to find on ebay at all, nor are they expensive. Just sayin'

we "share" with my 2-year-old in the sense that he always ends up in our bed... I've seen oodles of advice out there on how to get your kid back to sleep, covering a wide range of parenting philosophies. My question is: how do you keep them from waking up in the first place??

I totally want one for me! I HATE touching my hands to the sink while trying to rinse them off. What's the point of a nice big wash basin if the water only flows at the very back! This is a great idea and spares me the headache of choosing (and then replacing) the actual faucets, and saves cash too.
