I work in an open office environment, and I am very, very territorial. I have my own pens in a separate container on my desk from the ones other people get to use. My chair is totally off limits. If someone wants to borrow something, they can certainly ask and I've got no issue with it, but it comes back to me immediately.

There are a couple reasons for this - one, I'm kind of the catch-all for things that need done, so at any point I could likely need white-out tape, paperclips, highlighters, permanent markers, scissors, etc. Pens are an issue for me because I dislike our cheap company pens, prefer to write in pink or purple, and I have a pen-chewing coworker. But mostly, it's because I have a coworker who feels the need to go through everyone else's stuff.

I have to admit... even if it's a weirdly-written post, I'm seriously happy to see something that's not about the iPhone.

Hahaha oh goodness.... I have a pink stapler, tape dispenser, and paper clip holder that holds only plastic-coated multi-colored paperclips, a glass dish with candy and pink binder clips, 2 bottles of lotion, one bottle of saline, hand sanitizer, a plant, a ball of yarn and some knitting needles, nail clippers, an Orbit gum container full of pens no one else touches, and Star Wars waterproof bandaids. Other must-haves? White-out tape, a collection of random hair accessories, and a ton of sticky notes. Amazingly... there's still room on my desk.

I prefer not using data while I'm on the phone... I get too distracted and forget to continue my conversation.
