Way too pricey!!! With as short as it appears to be, this would last a very short time, even though it does appear to be quite sturdy. I also don't like that the chair has no back, as a child who loved her art, I could and would spend hours at a desk like that. During which time I would enjoy leaning back to daydream and consider my next flourish, from time to time! Unless you are boxed into a corner, with the wall to lean upon, this would not be possible! Why on earth would you spend this amount of money, and have to purchase a better chair??? When are companies going to start consulting parents on kids items???

Oh dear God! Are people honestly letting their children run around 1/2 naked and relieving themselves willy nilly?!? The thought of this blows my mind. How will these children ever learn responsible restroom habits???

My daughter is currently in the beginning stages of potty training. But we will certainly not be following this method. We will be sitting on the potty regularly, especially after wet pants, and using positive reinforcement.

How ever, as far as clean up goes, baking soda is effective, but vinegar is more so. If a pet makes or smells a mess, they will continue to mark that spot as their own, and an effective cleaning agent is cleaning with vinegar (and baking soda). I would think the same method for human accidents would work, also.

But perhaps this is something new to be added to rental agreements?!?

Janis - LOL love that response!

miriamc - the protein in quinoa is nice, but it is the presence of ALL amino acids that makes it a powerhouse.

thanks everyone for recipe ideas, and rinsing clues, i love that i now have a use for all my leftover coffee filters... (though i still feel guilty using my mesh filter, when the paper is healthier for you... what to do, the flavor is better w/o!?!)

A dehumidifier emptied daily from the start would have prevented the problem! Lots of great cleaning advice. I would personally choose to replace all MDF or thin plywood that is on the back of furniture, to be extra sure to prevent regrowth, as this is both a cheap and easy solution. To keep your pieces away from the wall, for both air movement and to avoid damaging your furniture or the wall, I like to use the nail-in furniture glides. I found mine @ a local super store. Simply attach them to the back of your furniture, one on each end, so that they are not visible from the front.

We bought a gate for ours (brick, raised hearth, open firebox, so had to do something!), it is similar to this one, but found it at a local Meijer store for $50... http://www.onestepahead.com/pwr/product-reviews/4815/Gates/Kidco-Inc/p/06365-Hearth-Gate.html

To really give them presence, and put them on par with art pieces, don't just frame them, mat them as well.
