The Tori Rocking Horse is lovely, but we should have done our research first in regards to price. The link above brings you right to the Design Within Reach site and we didn't realize that the horse is actually made by Plan Toys. A quick web search for different vendors would have allowed us a less expensive price and free shipping to boot.

This is so much fun... the type of home I would love to have if I had the courage to go so bold with color and show off my own collections.

Your use of color here is seamless and works to display all your fun collections in a way that makes them a part of the space and interesting to look at.

Not to mention a whole lunch box wall! The Disney characters school bus, which I lovingly carried everyday to kindergarten, will always have a special place in my heart.

I'm a little late to the conversation, but I use cork to line my kitchen cabinets. Nice and cushy for placing my glasses on, but still breathable if the glass is not completely dry.

The Container Store has rolls with adhesive on the back, however, I picked up a craft roll of it at Pearl Paint without the adhesive. It curls a little, but eventually lays flat under the weight of the dishes.

Typically, I hate blinds... but I think this is a neat idea. Especially for us apartment dwellers who don't always get a window in each room.

This is such a beautiful home. Please tell me about your bedroom and office doors... Is that a glass inset? Whatever it is, I love the texture. Did it come that way or did you cover it with something to get that effect?

I'm not a DIYer at all... although Martha always makes me think that I can be!

Blueprint inspires me in other ways though. I'm a graphic designer and I get such joy out of perusing each issue, gathering layout ideas and admiring the overall good balance. Domino is great for reference, but IMHO, there isn't a magazine out there that displays ideas more beautifully than Blueprint.

Thanks for the explanation, Wende. Since I didn't realize there was a schedule, I really like your suggestion to include something in the heading. To be honest, I usually get so drawn in by the photos that I never make it to the end of the text!

I remember seeing this when it was originally posted last fall and really loved it. I'm just wondering why it has been reposted. Is there an update? Or, possibly, because it falls within the bounds of the smallest coolest specifications, it is an entry?
