Just do it. You own the place. It's your home, you can add or subtract minor things such as wall hangings/towel racks/grab bars as you see fit. Can I Remove Bathroom Grab Bar in Condo? Good Questions |

The more I'm married the more I find my husband actually cares a lot and has very good input to the decor of our place. Who knew he'd be such a good designer!? Who Makes Decorating Decisions in Your Home? |

I went to a stop on their book tour in Richmond and heard them speak. They were great! I loved their cute presentation and they were very nice and down to earth when getting my book signed. Great inspiration! Young House Love: The Book |

This looks very similar to a chair my mom got for my nursery as a baby. It was red/white striped and had a metal frame that looked safer than this does. Wish I could find a photo... The Nest: Comfiest Chair Ever? |

What about painting/wallpaper the back wall of the shelves? It would add some nice contrast. Especially if you put baskets and a few tasteful items. You could as another idea remove some of all the shelves. You could hang 2 coat hooks and keep a shelf on the bottom for shoes maybe. Not sure what you want from this space. Or what about adding molding around the whole thing and/or the shelves themselves? Painting them white or black maybe. What Should I Do with This Built-In Shelving? Good Questions |

I was in a way red shirted as a child. We lived overseas and when I moved back to Fairfax, VA in 5th grade I repeated the 5th grade. I had a cut off September birthday so it worked. My international schoolling was great but my parents felt I would feel more at home learning the American ways doing the 5th grade over. Since my old school was soo different I really didn't actually re-do anything. It was all new and I got to then be the oldest. I loved it! Back to School Considerations: Redshirting |

I moved (apparently like many others) from England to Virginia too!!! Twice! I lived there in the early 90's then in early 2000's. I actually think I enjoyed moving. Once since I wasn't thrilled with my circle of friends and would be glad for the change. Plus in a DoDDS school all the kids are 'new kids' so it was fine. Yes we inherited (well nobody's dead yet) a set of nice fancy china when we got married. It's been 2 year and we've yet to take it out of the box but someday I hope to use it. Not quite our style but not terrible either. Inheriting the Family Dishes Reader Survey |

This looks just like our house in Richmond, VA! Luckily our apartment is off the main foyer so our big pretty empty foyer is empty - nothing for passerbys or guests to look at. all our cars' license planes. photos of passwords (with all but 1 or 2 characters blanked out), grocery lists, measurments of things around the house - sometimes I have long term project that I'll only do if I see something that would fit perfectly in a space. I have window measurements, cabinet and shelf #'s just incase I see something perfect. 10 Snapshots You Should Keep in Your Phone's Photo Album |

I've been a member for a while now and I notice a lot of pins with descriptions that have nothing to do with the photo. Say a photo of a car then "how to get your child to eat right". umm What? I don't click on those. I've noticed this a lot lately. Very frustrating. Can Pinterest Keep Spammers and Scammers At Bay? |

I like how with my iphone and smallish hands I can pretty much reach every inch of the screen with just one hand. My thumb can reach to the very edge without dropping the phone. I love countertop space but I also know how much I use my microwave. It's just so much more convenient for leftovers, heating frozen veggies, warming water etc. I could not go without it. I'm not the type to just eat frozen meals and burritos either; it's just a big part of my kitchen. Which is Better... A Microwave or More Countertop Space? |
