This is just what I needed to get started on some projects that have been haunting me. I moved into Senior Housing last year and have not put the finishing touches on anything. For those of us that wait until the last minute but still like to give food gifts, I have a great recipe for Microwave Orange Marmalade. I would imagine you could substitute lemons or grapefruit for a change. No hot bath process is required but will require refrigeration. As an apartment manager for 20 years I can tell you that people leave lots of wonderful stuff behind. (a lot of junk too) It almost becomes an addiction to be the person that redistributes all the orphaned things because you run out of room and can't bear to part with lovely, usable things. My favorite was an old Limoge chocolate pot. It was in the far back corner of a top cupboard and I didn't find it until a second set of folks had moved out.
