@georgeandgracie - The only ones I can find online are trade sites like this http://catalogs.indiamart.com/products/kitchen-racks.html. Unfortunately, among the kitchen stuff available online in India you wouldn't find something that could also be in your mom or grandmom's kitchen! They assume no one wants to buy that anymore..

Your best chance would be to have it shipped to you by someone who can buy it at their local market. I'm guessing here but the cost should be about 3000 INR.

@georgeandgracie - Sorry, I googled india-based businesses but I can only find bulk suppliers like these http://www.bluestarkitchensinks.com/stainless-steel-wash-basin.html#platerack or trade sites like http://catalogs.indiamart.com/products/kitchen-racks.html

@Chakli - LOL! I think you could buy 20 of these for the cost of one of these 'designer' ones. Would someone really pay $600 for this?

They're the most common thing in Indian kitchens and most people are trying to get away from having these..

I had to comment especially to say, thank you for the perfectly done pictures! It actually feels like we're walking through the house - walking through each doorway and then turning around to look back. I could picture the layout perfectly.

Beautiful home, of course!

I love your apartment! I'd like to live in that hallway!

About your LG, wanted to know if yours drains water out during the spin cycle? Is it possible to set that up in an apartment - sorry if these are dumb questions!

Also, what's the width of your hallway and how deep are the shelves? They seem just the right size for my hall too..

You've got my vote in the small category, Emily!

Seems there are two sofas facing each other in the living room- How far apart are they and is it far enough to have people sit on both and not kick each other when they strech out? - i've been struggling to make a decision about sofa depth - wondering if i have enough space to have this configuration..

About the compass/protractor comments.. is it really true that you'd use it only once in one garde and then never study geometry again? I didn't study in the US so I don't know how it works here. We used the geometry set a lot throughout school from the 5th grade on... had to buy a second set when I wore out the first one!

I don't understand why you can't drill into concrete/cement walls? Those are the only kind of houses around here and we hang curtain rods all the time. Is it maybe something about building codes in the US that I don't know about?

It's called the Goring Hotel located in Belgravia, not Hotel Belgravia(that is a B&B of some sort apparently).
