Amazing backyards. Or a mediocre backyard. As an apartment dweller with not even a patio or balcony, I long for a place to sit in the sun and read a book. I'll take a cute little vintage caravan, pool or hammock back there as well. Oh, and maybe a sweet-ass guest house. I guess that's more than one thing, though. It's funny because I was JUST thinking about this earlier this morning. I lived alone for about 5 years after a break-up. It was the first time I had ever lived alone. I. LOVED. IT. There were times when I felt a bit lonely, but I can honestly say that I was extremely happy living alone. I'm remarried now and, obviously, live with my husband which is also wonderful. But I do cherish my alone time. And the amount of crap food that comes into the apartment is ASTOUNDING. I think longingly about the days of popcorn/pancakes and bourbon for dinner. It's funny. I just wrote a post on my blog last week about how over this trend I am. Etsy has a MULTITUDE of people who sell posters, etc., including "Keep Calm and Chewy On" which is a very non-hilarious Star Wars reference.
