I'm typically not a fan of long narrow kitchens, but the layout in the first picture seems to work really well!

Awesomeness all around.

I'd be nervous about the bottles dropping.

I love spinach salad sprinkled with fruits like strawberries and blueberries, topped with almond slices. Really tasty.
Anything with strawberries is yummy!

Does the water leak out from the bottom?
Why the NY resident restriction? :(

No pictures of the kitchen. I'm curious now.

It would work well for a wall Dump Pile (instead of the dining table or the counter!) near the entrance or something, for letters, newspaper, magazines, whatever else. One for each person! :-)

I agree with others. The heat isn't good for the spices. The cleaning will be very hard too.

I love the bookshelf but I don't think I'd pay $1500 for it. (the website says 3 cubes costs $220.. $220x7)

I might run into them, if not for the stainless steel stands. Even so, I still might. Then again, I've never ran into a glass door before so maybe there's hope for the invisible speakers and TV.

The price tag. WOW. YIKES.

I'll stick to my 2 decade-old speakers.

I've never lived in NYC so I can't compare how things are vs. where we live. With that said, I would never let our kids go out alone when they're only 9. That's too young. It's a scary world out there and I wouldn't be able to live with myself if something happened to our children because I was not there with them.

Our kids' rooms share a wall. Their cries used to wake each other up, but after we got the sound machines, it's no longer an issue!!!
Sound machines are perfect even if you're in the same room. It muffles out noises and provide a constant but not annoying sound. It's a bit like the noise inside an airplane while it's in flight.

Such a different house! Looks quaint and lovely.

Although I worry, why are there 5 fireplaces? Does this house have no modern-day heating system? But does Seattle area need heating system? As said above, the decorating bit is challenging. Forget about open floor plans here.

I might consider, if money was not an object.

I don't know the facts and myths involved in the upper levels, regarding laws and regulations and typical dealings.

But in *this* particular case that was highlighted, the landowner DID receive a subsidy ($9k it seems) from the government, and THEN turned around to rent it out to the MN farmer. Vegetables and fruits aside, you just don't take money for what you SHOULD be doing and then rent it out to someone else / for something else.

As I said, it could be more complex than just fruits and vegetables, but I do not think the farmer was being discriminated for planting wholefoods at all. That's so not the point, IMO. If the landowner did NOT receive the subsidy, I doubt the MN farmer would have been fined. Instead, he's paying for the actions of the landowner.

The idea is nice, and it doesn't look too shabby. But I'm afraid to find out how to clean it...
It looks like it might be a big affinity machine for dust balls.

Ah yes. Yellow stimulates hunger. Have you ever noticed many fast food chains all have, yep, yellow in their logos? (Example: McD, Burger King) And red. (for example, Wendy's, KFC)

We had Nacho Cheese on our kitchen walls. When it came time to sell our house, the realtor nixed it and told us to repaint it "so it appeals to a wider audience".. Loved the color!

Cut out the scary face, rebuild the top with stairs, and voila you'll have an instant slide!
Oh wait. That pointy end would hurt like no other on the way down.. so, never mind. Scratch that.

No scary moon!

I echo the sentiments by the previous comments that the selection is definitely not what I would want to have for our kids. I don't think we buy even $400 of toys per year - and we have 2 kids. For us, it's a few quality toys a year, and lots of books borrowed from the library. Kudos for her and for those who find it useful, but no thanks.

YUCK. To me, the colors and florals are absolutely grandma-ish.

I think tools are more cool when colors are minimal. The orange tone is just fine to me.

This winter has been very cold here in Iowa. Our electricity/gas/heating bill was almost $400 last month, and that is with our heat turned down to quite low during the night!

The kids sleep on our bed because it's nice to have Mommy, but also there's more body heat.

We would be grateful to have this.
