I love the subdued grey color on the walls. What is it?

Honestly, I'd love it if some one made me one as a gift, or if I sewed it myself. I would never PAY for it.

I like these as toys or blocks, but not for a winter village. Too 'unwintery'.

My son went right from his crib to the bottom bunk of bunk beds (obviously) at around 18 months in order to help make room for a new brother on the way (I didn't want him to feel like the baby was 'stealing' his bed, so we put the crib away for a while until the baby needed it). It worked out great for us. We put up an extra long guardrail, which almost made it seem like an extra large crib. He had a little trouble at first climbing into the bed, but you'd be surprised how quickly a kid will get the hang new things like that if they're just given the chance to try it supervised a few times.

Looks great! Very original. I'd love to let my kids give that chair a run for it's money.

I don't think I could handle my sling in the water for the same reason, I'd be afraid of drowning my poor baby. Besides that, I'm sorry, but the supposed "moms" in their product pictures are really off putting in my opinion. Any mom with two young kids does not look like that at the pool.

Of course there how can you argue with the idealism of a simple life, filled with the simple pleasure of family. But I always wonder about the "emergencies". What do you do when a major medical issue arises and you're living the nomadic life? I don't think we should let our "stuff" define us, but at the same time I would love nothing more than to own a home for my children to grow up in.

Bike helmet thing: When I was a kid living there my parents outfitted my bike with a bell and made me start wearing a helmet because it was the law (or so I was told). Why does this sort of thing always turn into a mini "Country Competition"?
Neat kindergarten. Simple enough.

I've made some bibs similar to this before and I have one little suggestion. Elastic wrists. They help keep stuff from dripping down little baby and toddler arms.

I like the labels with pictures, but clothes pins at my toddler's level is an accident waiting to happen.

I'm currently in a similar situation and have hesitated to use a sound machine. My concern is that my children will become dependent on it and not be able to sleep without one. We already have enough "stuff" to cart around when traveling, I really don't want to add anything to that list. Has this ever been an issue for any of you using the sound machines?

I would keep it in in my room. Maybe it could keep my older son occupied for and prevent him from (lovingly) poking his little brother in the face while I fold some laundry.

We have a 22 month old and a 2 month old. When the older one is in the bath, my husband holds the baby steady in the tub while I wash him off. So basically we just bath the baby in a regular bath tub. No extra equipment. But it definitely takes two people.

It's a very nice room, both peaceful and fresh. However, I do not think it is a very good example of putting together a nursery "without spending a fortune".
