Why are all the most beautiful spaces in Scandinavia?

Love that the pieces aren't the standard mid-century modern "greatest hits" from DWR. Kitchen is stunning. House tour?

bshields: you'd be amazed at the number of deer heads in Manhattan. Deer die, yes, but this deer head trend will not!

Agree with above comment about the art. Nice space, though.

Very nice, I like the use of color throughout.

Looks like an upscale showroom, or a model unit that's been professionally staged - tasteful, expensive, generic. Lovely, but doesn't show any personality.

it's true, if you submit your room to a contest, you are asking for feedback and have to accept it, good or bad. and angiebang, some of the most hideous homes i've ever seen were designed by professionals, so i hope you're not expecting us to defer to your superior wisdom just because you're an interior designer. personally, i'm not a fan of this room though i will say this -- it isn't boring! someone said it's like a room on "Trading Spaces" and i'd have to agree.

Aren't you nervous having a big, heavy, framed-behind-glass picture right above your bed -- living in an earthquake zone?

This is ok, but I really do not get where all the love for this room is coming from.

You really should win this

I am pretty appalled by the taste level on AT too.

I dunno, I think when people post blatantly obnoxious pictures of *themselves* rather than just photos of their home, it's all fair game. Remember that entry in the Small Cool contest where somebody, in the photo of his bathroom, showed his attractive girlfriend sitting on the toilet? Got raked over the coals, as well he should have.

I love bright colors, but I am not crazy about that patch of neon green with the otherwise staid palette of this apartment. I don't think it works.

Yes, SPOnaj, there isn't much point to having rules if someone is allowed to break them and not be disqualified. Doesn't seem fair to the others who've submitted entries and followed the rules.

The rules of this contest state that the pitch is supposed to be a maximum 100 words.
