I wish! Brimfield is a dream and so many states away from Texas. I would love to hear from anyone who went to the Country Living Fair a couple of weekends ago in Austin, though.

I am curious - what sort of budget are you working with? I can't wait to see how this turns out!

I just found and re-did a blonde buffet, very similar to your piece. I had the same quandary and not a lot of free time (new baby), so I spary painted the exterior with Valspar High Glass Lacquer in black. It looks awesome and adhered beautifully, doesn't scratch off - amazing! true, the interior is a different color, but I'm not planning to open it often in front of company. Good luck!

The 6 drawer Chase dresser at World Market is great, too. It provides lots of storage in narrow spaces and is well constructed. It actually looks a lot like the West Elm dresser but only costs $300. I loved mine. I bet you could change out the hardware pretty easily.

I saw a Missoni for Target ottoman featured in a recent "House Beautiful", but was disappointed to note that the seams didn't match up and it consequently looked carelessly constructed and therefore cheap; I hope this isn't indicative of the quality of the collaboration!

Angela - great job on your gorgeous home! I love everything about it; a wonderful blend of modern and rustic and a perfect palette, too. My favorite piece is the cowhide sofa - I would do that in a heartbeat, and to all those who disapprove, please remember when you eat your next hamburger or beef taco that using animal skins is actually a very responsible (and beautiful) choice.

Hi, I tried this over a concrete slab floor and was so excited about this good-looking, budget friendly solution. Unfortunately, I found that the paper trapped air bubbles that were pretty much impossible to smooth out. Ultimately, it dried with *texture* and the air pockets provided a good stating place for ripping this project out.
