I have been eating this for a while. I didn't read through all of the comments, so pardon me if the following combination has been stated. I prepare it with some cocoa powder, a bit of peanut butter, some maple syrup or honey and almond milk or coconut milk (the prepared variety that is intended to replace dairy milk). This is so fulfilling and so healthy. Another great option for over ripe bananas! How To Make Creamy Ice Cream with Just One Ingredient! |

I love the modern, industrial and vintage pairings! I also really appreciate the combination of styles, which makes your home seem so personal and authentic. And I know we've all acknowledged this already, but I have to as well....beautiful use of color! Lastly, I really love how you utilized the small kitchen space! The pot rack over the windows, such a unique touch....and of course the beautifully worn prep table, love that 'lil number! Nicely done, thank you for sharing! Mark's Delightful (and Delicious!) We traveled across the country to move in to an unseen apartment that we had secured. I feel very fortunate with the outcome, the property management team is great, the building is well kempt and we decided to sign another year long lease after our term was up. I think that obviously photos, a look at the floor plan and a chat on the phone with the landlord/management company are all good starting points to weed out any potential surprises. I also have found that yelp can be helpful for investigating the reputation of properties and their management. However, we all know that sometimes people write reviews when they are irrationally angry about something and when it comes to housing, people get sensitive (sometimes, rightfully so). My residence was not rated as highly on yelp as I would have rated it myself. We all have our standards, I guess. Going the Distance: Moving Sight-Unseen |

I'll back you up on this one! When I saw the image and headline, I was crossing my fingers that you would call people out on this foolish trend. I worked at a home furnishings store for a bit and would cringe every time they did the karate chop. I think it is distracting and silly. What's Your Design Pet Peeve? |

@ Zee-Mis SP- I really have to beg to differ. I too have spent an extensive period of time in Europe and had learned to love grocery shopping for the very reason that is being highlighted in this article. However, I also currently live in Denver and I don't think that you are giving credit where credit is due. There is a winter market right here in the city where the farmers come every Saturday to sell their product, meat included. Additionally, I buy from a local-family owned butcher shop that sells almost exclusively local, humane product. And lastly, I can think of several sweet little markets and specialty shops that are way more appealing than wally-world. If anything, I think that more progressive cities and towns like Denver, are moving back to that kind of smaller more specialized retail model. Shop Like a Parisian Weekend Meditation |

I love that your home looks like it is furnished with items collected throughout a lifetime. The organic and historical quality beats any immaculately staged home in my book. Lovely home! Kitty Bubs' Nostalgic Starlet Bungalow House Tour |

I formed an addiction to the Bueno bars while living in London....I even found them worthy of gifting at Christmas. To this day I am still tempted to buy them in mass quantities and stash them away when I see them in stores. However, I have since acquired an allergy to wheat which keeps from doing so. My hips are thanking me, though my quality of life has seriously taken a dip. Duty-Free Food Souvenirs: Kinder Bueno Chocolates (and Why Not to Buy Kinder Eggs) |

I haven't taken the time to read through all of the responses, so I apologize if this has been said already...but my suggestion would be to keep the duvet but buy a new colorful skirt (....maybe chartreuse?). Also, get some new sheets with color, perhaps the same color as the skirt (or in the same family, different hue). I would then accent with some colorful pillows...maybe some that have texture on the fabric itself....and some of the pillows could be the same color you choose for the sheets/skirt...and some that contrast. Hope this is helpful and not too vague. Good-Luck! Great work on the headboard, you must be so proud of it! Suggestions for Colorfully Patterned Duvet? Good Questions |
