as a mom of 3 girls aged 7 and under, you can imagine all the baking we do. and decorating. over the years i've cobbled together this same 'kit' on my own. it is much easier for small hands to control small bottles than icing bags and all of the icing is contained; and frankly, i've used them for fine detail work. it is, however, a trade off....not the cleanup, but getting the frosting IN is a bear (unless you're flooding). clean up isn't too bad, just lots of shaking.

this would more than likely save the lives of not only my 3 children, but also my husband. imagine a galley kitchen, dinner prep, and an ipod. we all know that precisely when we do not want to be disturbed is when it happens.... visualize: mommy w/earbuds in listening to a book while calmly chopping something or frying something or peeling something (you get the picture) little urchin #1, 2, or 3 or large urchin constantly trying to gain mommy's attention or engage mommy in chatter. mommy having to pull out ear buds or turn off ipod getting something (head, ipod) wet, dirty, or both just so she can hear the precious little beasts. wireless speakers that actually sound good and would end the vicious cycle of ipod tag? nirvana

oh that color is perfect!!! i can guess how fantastic mac & cheese (homemade) would be in that square baker!
