I like using my cell because my vision is so poor, even with the clock on the nightstand i still cant see the time. I know there are some cool clocks out there but I am sticking with my cell for now. My husband does leave his all over the house which does sometimes prevent him from hearing his alarm (but he counts on me or the kids waking him so it's not a big deal).

I love this. I love the shelves in the bathroom. Definately something I would like to do.

who lets their husband make the design decisions? I would definately paint them. The new cabinet paint line by Rusteoleum looks great. That is what I am going to use. AT even tried it out.

What exactly is "reasonable" to have a chair like this reupholstered?? Just wondering as I would love to do something like this but figured it was out of my $ range and I cannot sew things like this.

I also would suggest Overstock.com. Just last week we got a very nice 8X10 rug, with a really nice rug pad, with delivery for $201.00
I LOVE the rug. It's possible if my budget was unlimited I may have chosen something a bit more trendy, but then I might be sick of it in a few years. I saw a few that I thought had some of the same qualities as the Gardenia (which is lovely). Take a look. Read the reviews on overstock, which some of which I think are overly harsh. Our rug was said to be "super thin" and I don't think it is, and with the nice pad we got, it is super cushy and I just LOVE it!

WOW-I am thrilled with all the suggestions. I will say that the really bad brick stoop was ripped out and replaced right after we moved in. It was awful!!!
