I've had mine for 3 years and it's definitely the best shaver you can buy. No neck irritation like I tend to get from blades but just as smooth of a finish as a Gilette Fusion. I'm not sure I agree with the quiet statement however. Some mornings I'll skip shaving because it's loud enough it can be heard downstairs... Give it a quick rinse under the faucet before running it through the clean cycle in the base will double to triple the life of the cleaning solution.
