I usually take my dachshund out in my workout clothes in the morning. I am guilty of the PJs though but mostly due to my apartments fire alarms tendancy to go off at 3 am at least once a month (try getting dressed with a howling dog). Afternoons are usually in work clothes. I don't think it much matters as long as your bits are covered, I don't judge.

I like beer as a base for crockpot soups, usually the last bottle of a six pack or and odd bottle from having friends over. Fair warning though, I woudl reccomend mixing the darker beers with the cheese rind, it is produces an unappetizing flavor of vomit (at least to me)--- I learned it the hard way, whole crock pot of beef stew down the drain.

My mom's Chicken potpie. 2 pilsbury pie crusts, 1 can swanson chicken, 1 large can mixed veggies (no beans!) , and one can of cream of mushroom soup. delish!

Either that or her version of shepards pie. 1lb cooked ground beef as the bottom layer, topped by a can of ranch beans, 1 can corn, topped with martha white cornbread, backed until brown.

Both are stupid easy but are total comfort semi-homemade food!

Crock Pot Chiken and dumplings just make the dumplings and chiken bites small. Extra yummy, totally easy to eat. I had 4 wisdom teeth pulled one time and gum surgery another and this was easy to chew and not spicy.

Oh man, I tried a crockpot version of mac and cheese. I came home to a house that smelled like burnt cheese and ended up having to soak my crockpot for 2 days to get all the noodles off. After that I have stuck to the stove top/baked versions.

I usually throw the first holiday party among my friends, the first weekend in December. Its early enough that it doesnt conflict with others holiday celebrations and its Post Thanksgiving. I think you should wait until after Thanksgiving.

I am unsure if there are doors on the marked closet space by the tub or not, but if there not, I would center the bed up to the threshold and hand curtains/large headboard behind it, then place a cradenza at the foot of the bed to mark the "bedroom" space from the "living space" sort of like this: http://www.apartmenttherapy.com/ny/good-questions/good-questions-open-closet-headboard-010684

I don't START the conversations, but everyone and thier mother seems to think its ok to talk to me. I get so many life stories and questions (where is the .....?) . It's a mild curse, esp on the days when all I want to do is grab my salsa and chips and run out the door.

I found that the best way to get be self-sufficient is to have the basic tools at your disposal... for cooking (a skillet, a pot, spatula, a good knife or two), what simple tools (screwdriver -phillips and flat, a simple power drill, hammer, etc) there is nothing worse than having to put something together and not have anything you need
