Especially love the look of the first and last rooms. When desiging a room I always try to take inspriation from something the homeowner really loves. It could be a piece of fabric, a painting, a chandelier, or anything! If you base your decisions and inspiration on something you really love then the entire space will turn into something that really reflects your personality and style. One other great way to put your personality into your home is by looking at your wardrobe and using colors that are found repeated in your clothing in your decorating.

The first house is adorable both before and after!
@SusanBforcolor: B.Moore does a line of historic colors and in yellow I particularly like Hawthorne yellow HC-4 and Marblehead gold HC-11. Yellow can be a tricky color to get right so good luck!

I love these interpretations of the windsor! Sometimes the more traditional version of the windsor can appear a little too country but these could work in a traditional or contemporary space easily!

I'm a designer and I used Wardmaps recently for a large project I was working on in Brookline, MA. We purchased eight large, antique reproduction maps of Brookline and had them framed by the store. They have a really great selection of maps and did a great job with the framing. I believe that I worked with the owner of the store, Dan, and his customer service was great! I highly recommend them if you are looking for an awesome selection of antique and repro maps!

@ keversole That's a great wallpaper for a bathroom! I'm an interior designer and have access to the Boston design center and Cole & Son. If you're interested I could possibly help you out with locating that paper.
Best!

I love the key motiff for home decor! So mysterious and fun.

@candacetherenter Your keys sounds awesome! I would attach them with hot glue to a sturdy piece of cardstock in rows or in a "sunburst" shape and simply frame behind glass and hang on the wall. I wouldn't worry about the rust unless it really bothers you.

Putting curtains on the fireplace wall is unnecessary and would be difficult to hang without covering part of the windows blocking out more light. To make that wall look finished I would suggest moving the paint above the sofa and hang it above the fireplace. This will both add color to that wall and the larger scale will draw the eye to the painting and not to the windows. This will leave a hole above your sofa but I would suggest replacing the large piece with a gallery wall of smaller pieces.
I do think the dining room is another story though and is begging for drapes to be hung. Don't do white, it will look too plain. I would pull one of those great colors out of the painting and do the curtains in that colorway. Go for a patterned fabric to break up the room and add interest since the furniture and walls are solid.
Great job with your color choices!

I love the brick archway! So unique and unusual to have that in a home. I think you've done a great job pulling together your place in such a short amount of time. I'd love to see some pictures after you've lived there for a while longer and see how the place evolves! Great job. Do you have a site where you sell your art? I'm a designer and I'm always looking for local artist to support. Thank!

love the lived in look of your apartment! Your artwork is great and I love that you rotate it so it never gets boring! It's also very interesting how that hallways is laid out. It appears like a huge waste of space (the kitchen could be so much larger if that wall wasn't right in the middle) but since you use it to display art it seems to serve your purpose well. I'll be sure to check out your site!

Designer here!...Honestly, I wouldn't waste your money trying to make these lights better. You money would be better spent to purchase a new medicine cabinet without lights attached and have an electrician wire for new wall mounted sconces. This will add value to your home by "updating" the lighting and doesn't cost as much as you may think. Good luck!

I love the versatility of white. No matter what you're mood or what kind of party your throwing white serving dishes can handle any style party. All of the dishes I own are white (Crate & Barrel's "Pure" collection) and I love being able to change my tablescape without having to own many different style dishes. Not to mention white is just so beautiful on its own.

To keep the tea cups from becoming too granny look for some vintage industrial style shelving that you can stack the cups and saucers onto. The juxtaposition of the dainty cups with the rough shelving will make for an interesting display.

I do agree that starting over and decorating the room together could be enjoyable for both of you. That way you will both feel comfortable in the space having both contributed to the look of the room. However, if you still want to hold onto your individual bedding I would go with a natural linen draperies. The color of the natural linen (or flax colored) will pick up on the off-white color in both of the bedding sets and work as a calming neutral. I would also consider giving the walls a little color - something creamy.

Kelly Wearstler "Imperial Trellis" fabric in green would be a nice pop of color in an all white bath. You could also do the shower curtain in the same fabric for a pulled together look. Great work with the reno!
