I ended up with high shelving in my narrow bathroom, and no use for it other than to store books. I keep my inexpensive books there, on the higher shelves, out of the way of the sink and toilet. It's not for everyone, it's not ideal, and it's probably not forever. But I'm a librarian with TONS of books, and it'll be awhile before I can afford the built-in shelving I want in another space. Here's a pic of what I have going on (they've since been rearranged in the trendy by-color format). http://belbensbookblog.blogspot.com/2008/11/i-was-told-there-would-be-no-math.html Bookshelves in the Bathroom |

I have books everywhere, including in the sheets. Most of the storage is, weirdly enough, in the bathroom: http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_1l6RBbfNY3U/STQPwAbaeCI/AAAAAAAAAF8/U5ImlQfPFww/s1600-h/Bathroom+Library.jpg Nightstand or Overrun-with-Books Stand? |

Off-limits?? Are you joking? I can't seem to find anyone who WANTS to come in. Seriously, though, I love my bedroom and love having people lounge in there--I have a nice chaise lounge and a TV for Tuesday night Glee gatherings. When it's not pouring down rain (I live north of Seattle) There's a great little princess-veranda off my room that's great for talking and watching the sunset. Is Your Bedroom Off-Limits to Guests? |

Angled walls/nooks in my walk-in closet are the perfect place for this! I often tack quotes and motivational reminders to myself here anyway, and I'm thinking of the possibilities for using this paint instead. Cool. IdeaPaint: And 8 Ways To Use It In Your Home |

This is the biggest house I've seen featured here...some beautiful stuff, but 6000 square feet? Isn't there a McMansion Therapy site where this could be featured? Best gift ever: my friend left little hand-written notes hidden around my home for me to find after she'd left, thanking me, complimenting my home, and basically leaving a wonderful reminder of her visit. Be a Good Guest |
