I also live in Philadelphia and I have found that JoAnn Fabrics has a really great selection. The actual store has a better selection than online. Also www.jcarolinecreative.com is an awesome website that has tons and they are separated by fabric type.

I like devine design because of the quality of materials, furniture and design that is used. As a designer I am outraged by the number of shows that claim to be about 'interior design' when they are just cheap ugly decorating shows. Terrible!

I suggest new cushions and a new coffee table. I also think it might be good to keep one sofa and the chair and get two new chairs to replace one of the sofas. I am not big on having every peice match. If you did two nice upholstered arm chairs it would vary the look a bit and make it less golden girls.

The red and turquoise makes an awesome combination. It's fun and lively without being too much.

Soak some fabric in starch and while it is still wet apply it to the wall. I will stick and should be easy to peal off when you are ready for it to come down.

Also Ikea sells those fabric pannels with a frame at the top and bottom. You should be able to put a cup hook in the cieling to suspend it close to the wall. That would make a beautiful accent piece/headboard.

I am confused. How have none of you hear of Marc Jacobs? I thought people that were into art and design would surely know who one of the most popular fashion designers is.....
