These are beautiful but salvage yards at filled with colored sinks/tubs/etc that people have ripped out of their bathrooms, so the same look can be found for much less. Sneak Preview: Jonathan Adler's Colorful New Sink Collection for Kohler |

So sad! Check out "Save the Pink Bathroom" and "Retro Renovation." It's obviously a personal style choice, but the overload of stark white/grey/black bathrooms is a bummer to me. I love the mid-century charm. Before & After: Dana's Updated Bathroom House*Tweaking |

I agree about the travesty of the kitchen. I really hope those cabinets were donated. The kitchen now looks cheap and there are a dime a dozen like that out there. What's the point of getting a farmhouse if you aren't preserving any of the original charm? The kitchen doesn't even feel creative, it feels obligatory- insert stainless steel, wood, and white tile here. Raina & Robert's Modern Farmhouse Makeover A Before & After House Tour |

I don't think food blogs are over, because it's not really a trend per-se. People have always and will always cook, and now the internet is how we share information....so I don't see how food blogs will die down. The novelty certain has changed though. Smitten Kitchen used to seem so unique and exciting, now it's a pretty common format. Are Food Blogs Over? Food News |

When is the city going to use eminent domain to take over Gramercy Park, making it a public park and less of a traffic hazard? If Atlantic's Yards is worthy, surely this would be too. Designing with Light: A Gramercy Park Townhouse Renovation |

Agreed JodieAnn. Also, it seems like every third house tour is in Loz Feliz, LA. It's repetitive to see a specific neighborhood in a given city way-over-represented as compared to all the other areas of the country. Rachel & Kevin's Los Feliz Love Shack House Tour |

Use uship.com and post a photo and description of the items you want shipped and your window of time. People bid on your job and you can choose based on reviews/price/etc. I moved a ton of stuff very cheaply from New York to Baltimore. I live in Mt Vernon, and spend tons of time in Hampden, Fells, Station North, to name just a few neighborhoods. I guess preconceptions about Baltimore though are what keeps it unique and so cheap. While I want more money and more people in the city, I really don't want developers from DC to sink their teeth in here. Resort-Like Urban Living: Four Seasons Baltimore The Baltimore Sun |

Looks really nice! I just moved to Baltimore from New York. Loving it so far, and the housing stock is amazing. Beautiful rowhouses in artsy neighborhoods can be bought here, and the mortgage is less than a studio in way out Brooklyn. Resort-Like Urban Living: Four Seasons Baltimore The Baltimore Sun |

I'm in the camp of finding this house-tour ostentatious and not too helpful. Most of us can't relate to having a custom Jonathan Adler carpet. I don't think it's particularly creative or impressive to do a house like this with a basically limitless budget. I think part of the reason blogs like Young House Love are so popular is the thrift, creativity, and innovation of people working with constraints is more fun and relatable. The owners of this house could've bought a place comparable but not quite as extravagent and donated the money. No one needs so much.... Doryn's Glamorous Return to the City House Tour |
