From the posts, it sure seems like entryways can pose a lot of various spatial challenges. But it's true that they set the tone for one's whole home, so the attention is worth it. I love the pictured entry - so organized and pure - and the tip for making a beloved focal point. Great post!!

With years of experience designing children's and organizing homes, the first image gives me the chills, in a good way. The space is calm and soothing, getting all the necessities in a tiny room without a sense of overcrowding. I imagine that when playtime and homework hour roll around, it becomes a bit more 'colorful' but it has all the right bones for an easy clean-up and peaceful rest thereafter.

Yellow and turquoise are - hands down - my favorite happy color combo....and this bungalow proves it! The pull-out turntable shelf is also pretty genius.
