I'm new to the site, but I rent a place that I love & would love to buy. It has so much potential. The walls are the 1970's panel. Someone already painted them white, I hate white. Well, I bought gal. of liquid starch at the dollar store and some really inexpensive cool material. Enough to cover the wall or walls I wanted to cover. cut manageable pieces of material and soak in the starch. lightly ring it out and then put it on the wall starting at the top. Just start smoothing or wrinkling as you like. I then put some inexpensive wood trim on the top & the bottom as well as down the corners. Now, when you move, just pull it down very easily and you can use it again. (or not) But there isn't any proof of anything on the walls. Mine turned out beautiful I used it as a focal point above the bed. 25 DIY Projects That Cost Less Than $50 Roundup |
