Just returned from a trip to England with an amazing c.1820 silhouette. The gentleman in question now lives on my living room wall. He's currently engaged in a staring contest with a carved, wooden Thai dragon hanging from my window blinds. A Modern Take on the Classic Silhouette Sweet Paul Magazine |

Yes, it's not a print, but clearly there's more than one painting made. I've got the rooster sitting on my shelf, but it sounds like several other people in the postings do, too. One Day Gallery: Daily Original Artwork Deals Store Profile |

So far, three of us got it, so I'm thinking it definitely has to be multiple copies. Not to mention that, when I ordered it, there was an option to order more than one. One Day Gallery: Daily Original Artwork Deals Store Profile |

I got it, too, Flying Dutchman, so they must be selling multiple copies. Is that really original art? Should I be disappointed my $20 rooster isn't unique? One Day Gallery: Daily Original Artwork Deals Store Profile |

My parents have had a full garden covering the front yard at my childhood home since before I was born. There were toads under the strawberry plants, and flowers and fresh food all summer. This is a really great way to live, let me tell you. Gone with the Lawn: Edible Yards Roundup |

My grandmother just turned 100 years old, and has always loved giraffes. She tells me "they have such soulful eyes." So her house was full of giraffes people gave to her as gifts. This makes me want to sent everything here to her, but now that she's moved into a nursing home, I suppose they will have to stay where they are. Put a Giraffe On It |

I think these can be quite beautiful. I have antlers on my wall, that my dad found shed in the woods and mounted for me. I love having it hanging in my living room. We live in the woods, and my plants, the trees through the window, and the antlers feel like nature is inside with me. Decorating with Stuffed Birds? |

Some dogs need sweaters because their breeds don't have the body fat to prevent chills in the winter. Greyhounds, for example, might get sick if you didn't provide a way for them to stay warm. Fresh Start: Repurpose Old Sweaters |

I like my parents' artificial tree, which is nearly 20 years old now. Rather than that canvas stripping many of them use to make needles, this one has needles molded in plastic so they actually look like what you'd find on a real tree. How about using a dress form? I like to put a dress on mine when I'm not sewing. It makes it all look a bit more put together, and it distributes the weight of something vintage, which has to protect the seams a bit. I Spy: Hanging Dress Displays |
