Yes to purple. I forget how much I like it until I see other rooms decorated with it. Maybe I'll use purple in my next place. Current place I'm renting has brightly colored walls and purple wouldn't work. Polarizing Purple |

Store the blinds under the bed? I've done that before and I've also got lucky once with a place that had storage above the kitchen sink, which was too high to access regularly but perfect for storing blinds. 10 Ways to Customize a Rental |

I like rice a lot but I'm Ok without having it with every meal but I didn't grow up in Asia so that might be part of it. I see lots of American's shy away from it as they focus on low carbs- high protein diets. They're missing out!. Do You Need Rice to Make It a Meal? |

The IKEA catalog was delivered to the front porches of the houses in my neighorhood! Whoa. That's the first time that has happened. There are lots of things IKEA I don't like, namely quality and the throw-away mentality/society it encourages (which I'm totally guilty of engaging in) but I have to be honest, when I walk into an IKEA store, I'm excited about decorating on my own place. Kudos on them for being able to do that. I love how put together the displays all looks. They have clever design at affordable prices. You can order matcha online here. For ice cream, it's a lower grade matcha and therefore cheaper. For drinking matcha, it can get quite expensive. The stuff coming out of Uji, Japan is quite nice. Sip of Summer: Matcha Tea Lemonade Inspired Edibles |

The USDA has done research to the nutrient, calorie and sugar content of corn so reference to that in the "debunking" article have been scientifically evaluated. That's probably where they pulled the data- the USDA Food and Nutrient Database. So I suppose they might argue they debunked the myth that corn has no nutritional value.
