Chartreuse and orange are very prominent in my place too. Good to see them in action somewhere else. Not many people love those colors as much as I do. Myke's Spirit & Creativity Small Cool Contest |

My standard is TJ's butter, but for something where the butter is !really! prominent, I go with Plugra ... or some fresh stuff from the Amish farm (which I recognize is not an option for everyone.) What's the Best Brand of Butter for Baking? Good Questions |

My dad gives me bags of frozen filleted fish he caught all the time. I keep asking him to bag up smaller quantities, but he doesn't seem to listen, so my above mentioned method has been tested btw. What Can I Do With a Pound of Frozen Trout? Good Questions |

Put the fish in a ziploc bag and place in a bowl of cold water in the fridge. Once they thaw out that a smidge, you should be able to separate the fillets. I honestly can't think of a dish using a pound of trout that would be good cooked, frozen, and then reheated. What Can I Do With a Pound of Frozen Trout? Good Questions |

There's usually a whiskey or bourbon that's palatable behind any bar. Neat or 'with soda. Granted, this is also my drink at most bars... and at home. haha. My Safety Drink at Questionable Bars: Tequila Ginger Ale |

I don't know anything about that particular table, but I can say as someone who buys a lot of vintage items. DO NOT STAIN IT... if you are thinking about selling it. Either use the above recipe for a cleaner which sounds safe enough or use Howard's products. The Clean-A-Finish, and the Feed'N'Wax can make anything look good again. And if you are keeping it and just want to cover a few minor blemishes, clean it, use their Restore-A-Finish, and then use the wax. Info on Vintage Danish Dyrlund Tables? Good Questions |

Beautiful... other than that mannequin, form, statue, anatomical model thingy by the window. That would freak me the heck out and I would be convinced it comes alive at night and watches me when I sleep. haha. Courtney's Soothing Blue Bedroom My Bedroom Retreat Contest |

@ellenchristine Look at a map of St Louis, and think how many of these neighborhoods are A-OK. The balance is way out of whack. Dogtown, Lafayette Square, Holly Hills... there are a few banner neighborhoods, but in reality the bulk of the city proper is miserable. I still love St Louis, but I have come to realize that once I stepped out of my very South City 'hood and started moving closer to Downtown and the reality of the city, that it is really tough to pretend how great it is here. This city has some DEEP problems and more than just the North side. I can see statistically how St Louis is a miserable city, since most parts of the city kinda suck. @nickarmadillo Yes, parts, that's why I said some areas are great, but always seem to be surrounded by something bad. Southwest city is pretty great. I, however, live very close to Downtown, *close* to Lafayette Square (which of course is the bee's knees) but not close enough. Top 20 Most Miserable Cities in America Forbes |

Because St Louis is miserable. It has everything... and nothing. We are insanely segregated, there have been... 25, I think (maybe more), murders since the beginning of the year within the city limits and considering the relatively small population that is within the limits that's a big number. Violent break-ins in my neighborhood seem to be the new hot trend. Tiny areas within the city limits are amazing, but always surrounded by poverty. I carry mace to walk my dog in the early mornings. There are days when I think St Louis is glorious, but mainly I'm kind of scared and tired of staying to the main streets in my neighborhood. Top 20 Most Miserable Cities in America Forbes |
