Picked up two travel art "suitcase" kits for our upcoming plane trip for 1/2-price; only ones on sale at our Target. Very nice pieces. We also purchased the patterned masking tape and am amazed at my boys' creativity.

We did just that for our energy-efficient gut rehab. Being that we were in contact 5-6 times during the day with a daily meeting at the house, we had to be compatible. We're still good acquaintances, had little issues, and it made everything go very smoothly.

We have a Senseo with the coffee grounds in a paper pod. Works well, tastes pretty good, & can compost the pods easily! I'm not certain what happened with the Senseo vs. the others, but it's a good alternative to the other pods/kcups abounding.

Great Lakes is fantastic.
Add New Glarus' Coffee Stout, a brew that started my beer infatuation.
Never was crazy about Goose Island, actually.
However, Cleveland's Indigo Imp is the best, with the newly opened Market Garden Brewery a close second...

@taherold: Yes, it is. Pressure-treated wood can leach those chemicals into the soil, and then into food, especially root crops (carrots, beets, radishes, etc). Cedar, concrete, cinderblocks, etc, are great for raised beds.

We have Ikea coverlets, sheets, duvets, duvet covers -- never had a pilling problem at all. Highly recommend them, including their duvets. Great value.

We painted our large, simple Queen Anne Sherwin-William's "Rookwood Red". We used the Sherwin-Williams historic colors (they have them in the store).

It does not look barn-like, mostly because we stayed away from white or black trim, using a medium cream for the horizontal & vertical sticks, and then a light bronze for the window frames with a dark brown for the windows proper. It's a warm look, and blends well with the surrounding houses (yellow and sage green).

Prang watercolors were what I had growing up and what my kids use. I've found a local place selling the set of 16 for under $10; it's worth it as both my children will paint for up to a hour.

On the same vein, close friends gave their 5 yr-old a Faber Castell art set in a wooden box. Everything has its place and easy storage. He is so proud of that set and uses it with reverence.

We have a Samsung side-by-side. Quiet, very quiet. Certainly quieter than our previous side-by-side GE.

As a side note, have you vacuumed beneath, behind, and the coils on the fridge? If there is too much dust, it might run rough.

Good luck!
