Cookies - you can do simple sugar cookies and people can bring different cookie cutters.

Or, if it is really not a cooking at the party thing, you can make different kinds of cookie batter/dough and freeze for making later.

I also like making pesto to freeze in ice cubes, and you could do some different variations on that.

I just threw out a bunch of old plastic stuff and went with the Pyrex set from Target. I love these new bowls! I don't even mind carrying the heavy bowls to work. For some reason, I feel like food stays better longer.

Face up! I hate the thought of the rim where my mouth will touch just sitting on the cabinet shelf. Maybe that is just a thing from living in old NYC apartments?

Either way, I think it's cleaner especially when you actually use the glasses you have, instead of displaying them.

Miele! I had a Dirt Devil can vac for years and years before it finally gave out. I went with the Miele Sirius and couldn't believe how much better this vacuum was! It is almost whisper silent, doesn't push dust back out into the room, is light and easy to move around. My mother and sister made fun of me for how much the replacement bags & HEPA filters were, but I have a small apartment, only wood floors and they last quite some time.

There is nothing not to love about my Miele!

I love an inexpensive prosecco, but I also really love Dom Perignon! If I am sharing it with a few friends, I will definitely go for a more expensive bottle.

Having taken an upholstery class before, I have to say it is a LOT of work! And it can be hard and very technical depending on the particular chair.
If this chair means a lot to you, and you will have it for a long time, having it professionally done is well worth the cost.

When I was growing up, the adults sat in the dining room and the kids sat in the kitchen.

Since there is no kitchen table in her current house, my mom just puts a card table at the end of the dining table and the kids sit there, but mostly because it is lower and easier for them.
