I TV binge all the time...currently marathoning Mad Men again (which I do before every new season), recently rewatched all of Downton Abbey in anticipation for the 3rd season, and anytime I find a different show worth marathoning, I'll watch an episode or two every morning while getting ready for work until there's no more to watch (hello Tabatha's Salon Takeover on Youtube, hahaha) How Viewing Marathons Are Changing the Way We Experience TV The New York Times |

I love throwing theme parties all the time, so I have them for my birthdays too! Last year it was 90s themed...we watched My So-Called Life, Ren and Stimpy and Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers, had gushers, Doritos, and funfetti cupcakes, listened to an epic 90s playlist (Fiona Apple singalong, anyone?) and everybody wore lots of torn denim, scrunchies, floral dresses...it was a blast! My favorite (free!) game is one we call Telephone Pictionary. Everybody gets a stack of index cards, and everybody has to draw a picture (the more bizarre the better). Everybody passes their picture and the next person has to write down on another card a description of the picture using only five words. The description card gets passed, and the next person reads ONLY the description and has to draw a new picture and so on, alternating between drawing and describing until you get your picture back. It's HILARIOUS! One game ended up with a transvestite Hitler responding to the Bat signal. Toooo funny! Party Intelligence Gathering: What's Your Favorite Party Game? |

One of my favorite parties that I ever threw was a Jaws-themed pool party last summer. We borrowed a projector and watched Jaws in the backyard and everybody had brownie sundaes, and cheered at "You're gonna need a bigger boat"...it was a total blast!
