I use a lot of baking soda-lemonjuice-vinegar-castile soap mixtures. Those ingredients (in some form or other) can be used on pretty much every surface in the apartment, from windows to stoves to grimy bathtubs. And they are cheap.

I've been using baby jars as repurposed spice jars for years and find them to be the best for this purpose - open mouths = I can get a spoon into the jar, lids close pretty well, they are easy to wash and use for another purpose, the lids can be magnetised for storage purposes, etc.

This deodorant is amazing. I found it at the Makers Market in Gowanus, and I swear it has changed my life. It works better than commercial clinical-strength deodorants, is vegan (yay!) and has no wierd crap in it. I would recomment it to anyone who has underarms!
