Sitt, the fabric is by a South African designer called Heather Moore (Skinnylaminx). Here is her catalogue: http://skinnylaminx.com/shop/catalogue/fabrics-catalogue-2012/. They are not deer, but a small local buck called a duiker. The illustrations are based on San (indigenous people of the Western Cape) rock paintings.
