I'm curious what makes this particular steamed egg "Korean"? The sesame seed? It's certainly not the dried shrimp, fish sauce (which Koreans don't use), scallions.

Also, any ceramic/pyrex bowl can be used. Doesn't need to be a ramekin (or Korean). Soup bowl, rice bowl, ad nausea.

Finally, the quickest way to make steamed egg is in.. .of course, rice cooker.

MEOW!!! clearly this post is a retort to that OTHER pepper mill post? http://www.thekitchn.com/thekitchn/elizabeths-pepper-mill-peugeot-141030

I'm actually the opposite. For years I went w/o a pepper mill simply because the Peugeot was rather exorbitant. However, as a car "lover", I waited and pined. Recently, a shorty Peugeot was gifted to me, and now I like to think my peppers are extra spicy & pungent. (They're not.)

Still, the sea salt is kept in a used kimchi bucket so... I feel like I'm not a total douche snob.

Wonder if it'll work w/ an immersion blender? In principle, anything that whirls at a higher speed than a mixer (but with lesser torque) should suffice?

Of note: every time I see "magic bullet" I think of a vibrator.

That is too bad, cuz you can easily pipe live sports stream onto a 42" flat screen (or a PJ) via HDMI. We recently cut off 6 months of U-verse after not having cable for 10 years. 6 months of cable made us stay at home to watch Top Chef (BARF), Entourage, Real Housewives AND Hoarders.

Netflix streaming on legacy 4-out plan FTMFW.
