I love this! Why spend thousands when you can have a lovely, functional and unique kitchen for hundreds instead. The kitchen is so important to how a home and family functions. Sometimes, waiting for a big budget for doing your "dream" kitchen just isn't an option. I will take creactivity and resourcefulness over a big box store, big budget kitchen remodel ANY day. CHEERS!

WONDERFUL!!! I agree that gardening extends past the activity itself. it is like a living organism whose roots draw from every area of your life and whose fruit refreshes and nourishes every part as well. It gives me great joy and excitement. :) Looking forward to more of this series!

I think it is lovely! The color is neutral and relevant and the sheen makes you take notice. Gray/blue and brass are lovely and nautical together. Brava!

Sabrina, you are just so dang "likable" and so is your apartment. Very contemporary. I. too, would have pegged you as more traditional. It does look a bit like a model home, but the parts that I can see your personality coming through are great!!!

Ok. This is absolutely my favorite house tour thus far. I love every single bit of it. I am all caught up and feel just a little emotional. The art is amazing, the furniture and floors and walls and ceilings and light and everything...It's like I am looking at my happiest dream but in the form of someone's home. Love the mix of everything old and wiry and wooden and modern and woodsy and rustic. Thank you so much for sharing! I am full of inspiration!

beautiful table!!! two vintage chairs that go with the style of the table at the ends and 6 "tobias" chairs from ikea would bring a more modern look.http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/20115038 buy one at a time to spare your wallet. or you could paint the table. a very light grey will modernize it as well as bring out the detailed woodwork. find 8 mis-matched, similarly scaled, vintage chairs and unify them with a coat of color...anything goes with grey. very au-current! cheers!

i think this is amazing. it is completely impractical in some aspects and some moments feel like i am in a booth at an emporium. but more important is that it inspired me!!! it's so creative and thrifty and heart-made. love it!
