I am interested in answers to comment posted by Kaukulator. I plan to have a Hickory Tree cut off above the ground and hope to use it as an end table next a Bench I have in my yard. This Bench fits perfectly between two Hickory Trees, but I am having a detached Garage built and will lose one of them due to the root system being torn near the tree.
