I painted my bedroom dark blue, Abyss from Benjamin Moore in Eggshell sheen. I love, love, love it! The ceiling is gray, and I have a yellow/ochre bedspread from West Elm, a orange/yellow jerry johnson chair, and some art to brighten it up. But the dark walls make my room feels so cozy and intimate at night. I live high up in a lofted space with views of the city, and one wall is all windows. The dark paint allows me to forego curtains (there are privacy shades) and enjoy the night time city views. The walls were originally white and light just bounced off them making my room too bright at night.
