LOVE this place. That is one Lichtenstein I wouldn't get tired of looking at!

I wonder what the noise factor is. I'd like a humidifer but not if I have to listen to it all day.

I like the big mirror above the red chairs but I feel like the smaller one beside the TV would be a real distraction when watching anything.

(What geishas? They look Chinese to me.)

Two that I have not forgotten since childhood: the potatoes at Beanbender's Beer Garden and the way the dad eats avocadoes in "The Snarkout Boys and the Avocado of Death."

It never occured to me people would use the same cleaning supplies for both the bathroom and the kitchen. This seems gross to me. I don't want something that's been around my toilet anywhere near my food.

My thing: I keep a calendar beside the fridge and, as I'm unpacking groceries, note any expiration dates. This way, I can see at a glance whether I need to finish the milk by Friday, for instance, know what I need to re-buy, and don't have to open the fridge door to do it.

Like the commenter above, I'm not usually big on mid century, but I LOVE this place. The non-bulky bed and the blue desk are great. So much great artwork, too.

Sorry, no matter what the benefits, that just does not look pleasant to me. It's evocative of something rather... unappetizing.

Even better than the top of the refrigerator: baseboard heaters or a space heater. Bagged avocado + unpeeled banana(s) + good heat source = quick ripening!
