I love that white armchair in the office - any idea where John got it?

Also, I too loved the Proudest DIY. Ha!

Have you considered purchasing some window film? It's inexpensive and you can cut your desired shapes with an exacto knife. We used it for our front door, which has a large oval window, so that we could preserve our privacy and still let light in.

I just had twins in May and everyone swore up and down I'd need a swing for each... Instead I only invested in one portable swing. To be honest, both babies hated it, then occasionally seemed to tolerate it, for the first few months. however, I now use it daily (to keep one baby occupied while I soothe or change the other) and really like it. I also like that I can bring it to the kitchen or living room as necessary. We also have a smallish condo and really wanted to avoid baby crap taking over. I recommend it!

PS. I have two packs of backup batteries in a drawer but have yet to need them!

Can you put bulbs like this one on a dimmer switch? Do you need a special dimmer? Thanks!

My husband and I just installed the Allure flooring in Cherry in our kitchen, and we're very pleased with it. We went with the cherry (a bit darker than we originally wanted to go) because the flooring was textured a bit - which isn't the case with the other 'wood' finishes - and we thought it would look less fake once it was on the floor. We're very happy with the results.
We laid the flooring over old linoleum - one thing to be aware of is the importance that the floor is level. You need to cut the old flooring wherever it's peeling or curling up... We did that for most of the floor except underneath the oven, and that's the only seam we're having trouble with not staying.
Also, be sure to use a roller and go over all the seams once you're finished - it will help make the flooring seal and tighten all the adhesive.
