Finally! A home I can relate to on Apartment Therapy! Although others are always beautiful, this one is so cozy. I absolutely love the back of the house - I've always had dreams of painting a mural on a wall in the backyard, but never thought of the entire back of the house! And, anyone that knows anything about training dogs and dogs, period, knows crates are not just for puppies!

@noxcatt - you can basically just pinch the top off to make them shorter. Then, they will continue to grow from the pinch point. You can also then take that piece you pinched and put it in a new terrarium! They are super hardy! :)

Beautiful space! Nice work. I love all the collections of pieces and don't think it's cluttered (but I like "stuff"). My only pet peeve is that the lamps cover up the artwork and the TV covers up the medallions:)

Where is thaw awesome shower curtain from? And, did I miss the photo of the bronze star you are talking about? It must be fabulous if it's something you'd grab in a fire!

My boyfriend has a ton of records and I've been trying to figure out what to do to get rid of the ikea shelves! I bought vintage wood crates of various sizes (4 fit all his records) and put the records atop a short (sturdy vintage) shelving unit. They are turned on their sides and open part faces out. The record player sits on top of one of the crates.
